I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of professional experience in the field of mental health. Drawing from a rich combination of therapeutic modalities, including Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), My goal is to help clients navigate life’s challenges by fostering resilience, empowerment, and positive change. By integrating lived experiences with clinical expertise, I am known for creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Specializing in working with a diverse range of clients, I tailor interventions to meet each person’s unique needs, guiding them toward practical solutions and personal growth. I am deeply committed to helping individuals build on their strengths, gain insight into their struggles, and develop the skills necessary to achieve long-lasting, meaningful change in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll discuss CONFIDENTIALITY, my responsibility to you as a Therapist, your responsibility as a client, and consent, review screening and intake outcomes, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What makes me unique from other providers is my 25 years of professional lived experiences working side by side with clients helping them navigate everything from parenting, young adulthood, family conflict, career planning, life-changing medical issues, caregiving, death of loved ones, childhood trauma and other life stressors.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Strength-based therapy is a type of positive psychotherapy and counseling that focuses on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on your weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings.

Supportive

Supportive psychotherapy is a type of therapy that primarily focuses on providing emotional support, encouragement, and validation during difficult life circumstances or psychological challenges. During our session, as your Therapist, I will encourage you to talk about your feelings, concerns, and problems in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

Reality Therapy

Reality therapy creates feelings of hope, enhances accountability, raises self-awareness and emphasizes self-control. Sees behavior as choices, and it teaches us that while we cannot control how we feel, we can control how we think and behave. We choose to behave in certain ways and these choices can help or hamper the ability to satisfy essential needs and reach individual goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy aims to identify and change maladaptive thoughts and behaviors that are contributing to your problems. This may involve techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and exposure therapy.
