Nicole Dunwald
I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with several years of experience working in adult inpatient mental health and currently transitioning to outpatient private practice. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Toledo.
With several years of experience working with clients at an inpatient psychiatric facility, I am uniquely qualified to help clients transition to an outpatient setting and maintain stability with medication management.
I specialize in treating a wide range of mental illnesses, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other serious mental illness. I am currently accepting new clients ages 13+.

I believe in a holistic, whole-person approach to helping clients reach and maintain mental wellness goals. As an open-minded and empowering provider, my goal is to help address root causes, reduce stigma, and create an individualized treatment plan in a calming and supportive environment. Ideal clients
My ideal clients value a collaborative and therapeutic relationship and are ready to engage actively in their healing process to create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives. They may be experiencing life transitions, grief, burnout, stress, depression, and anxiety, and are open to exploring the connection between mind, body, and lifestyle.
Treatment methods
Integrative
I believe in a holistic, whole-person approach to helping clients reach and maintain mental wellness goals by combining conventional psychiatric treatments with evidence-based complementary therapies and lifestyle interventions.
Supportive
With supportive psychotherapy, clients will work to develop coping skills and resiliency to help tackle current life stressors, reduce emotional distress, and strengthen their abilities to function in daily life. This practical support and encouragement is provided in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
