Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist with over 2 decades of clinical experience. My priorities center around creating a safe and supportive environment where you can be yourself and openly explore your thoughts and feelings. I consider myself your companion along a challenging part of your life's journey. I am here to listen, support, and offer feedback, interpretations, and suggestions. We will strive towards shared goals and agreement on therapeutic direction and tasks.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is focused on relationship building and gathering some preliminary information on your daily challenges and goals for therapy. The therapy session will ideally become a "safe place" for you to be yourself without judgment or labeling. While a clinical diagnosis is necessary to establish medical necessity for therapy treatment, I prefer to curate a more affirming strength-based approach.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths are in individualizing support and treatment for each client's unique needs. We will work collaboratively on priorities that align with your values and goals. I am confident you will be resourced with tools and strategies after each of our sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients ideally will be active participants in the treatment process, be open to trying experiments between sessions, and be willing to invest in themselves through small but sustainable changes.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Clients open to managing stress and various mental health conditions by cultivating awareness of the present moment without judgment or reactivity would benefit from this therapeutic approach.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Clients motivated to challenge and change unhelpful thought and behavioral patterns and engage in experiments between sessions are well suited for a CBT approach.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This approach is often ideal for clients seeking brief therapy related present day challenges with a few mild to moderate symptoms.

Integrative

As a generalist practitioner, my approach is holistic and can include components of various modalities rather than a strict manualized or "by the book" style treatment.

Supportive

This method emphasizes strengthening the therapeutic relationship and fostering a safe space for self-expression, rather than deeply exploring past traumas or conflicts. It involves a focus on providing encouragement, guidance, and practical support to help clients cope with emotional distress and manage life challenges.
