New to Grow
Hi, I am Olena and I specialize in trauma, PTSD, and EMDR therapy. I’ve found that my niche is helping clients who are tired of feeling stuck, caught in old patterns, or reliving the past. You don’t have to keep carrying the weight of painful memories, past experiences, or emotions that feel impossible to manage alone. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy should be a safe space where you feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout your healing process. In addition to EMDR, I incorporate person centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic, narrative, and somatic-based approaches among others. I look forward to hearing your story.
During the first session, we will get to know each other, go over your history and goals for therapy, symptoms that you are having, and give you an opportunity to ask questions.
My own life experiences have taught me how important it is to have a space where you can be genuinely seen and heard, understood, and safe enough to explore difficult experiences at your own pace. My style tends to center on holding space for clients, while also recognizing that meaningful progress sometimes requires asking difficult questions or gently challenging beliefs or behaviors that may no longer be serving clients. Once a strong therapeutic foundation is established, I am comfortable asking those difficult questions or gently challenging beliefs / behaviors that may no longer be helping clients. I tend to be more of a listener than talker, and help clients make sense of what they're experiencing before jumping to solutions.
I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with trauma and PTSD, stress from difficult life experiences, anxiety, depression, and re-living the past. I tend to be most helpful for clients who are ready to process past traumatic or stressful experiences that have shaped them, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Many clients find that, over time, they begin to see past experiences through a new lens, reconnect with their strengths, and move forward with greater self compassion.
