My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It helps clients to learn about the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and it helps them identify maladaptive patterns of thinking and behaving. By identifying and challenging distorted thoughts and beliefs, CBT helps the person to develop a healthier, more adaptive ways of thinking and coping with life's challenges and specific symptoms. In my experience CBT has been helpful with depression, anxiety, substance use, and trauma

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

It teaches clients to regulate their emotions, manage distress, and improve interpersonal relationships. DBT combines some cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness and acceptance strategies. DBT is especially effective for conditions like borderline personality disorder, but a lot of these tools are helpful when I have clients dealing with anxiety, substance use, and trauma.

Motivational Interviewing

It helps clients to explore and resolve ambivalence about change. MI facilitates the discovery and strengthening of intrinsic motivation for positive behavioral changes. It respects the person's autonomy and self-direction, fostering a sense of empowerment and ownership over their decisions. In my experience, it has been helpful when working with addictions.
