My greatest strength as a provider is meeting the client where they are and empowering them to realize their true potential in a creative way. I am open-minded and versatile in my therapeutic approach. There is no script that must be adhered to, and I do believe therapy can be interesting, fun, overwhelming at times, but most of all vital to sustainable growth.
I’ve cultivated a passion to serve diverse populations to include active-duty military members and their family members, community and healthcare organizations, individuals from various walks of life, families, couples, and adolescents. My personal and professional life experiences and diverse perspectives as a mother, spouse, veteran, former military government contractor, career professional allows me to connect with clients authentically, serve with understanding, empathy, and cultural competence and humility.

Faith based therapy is a powerful form of holistic healing that combines faith and mental/emotional wellness. In this form of treatment, we are able to foster a long-standing sense of hope and purpose by incorporating spiritual principles, faith-based traditions in a therapeutic environment. This allows for a deeper and more personalized healing journey to allow the client to address life issues aligned with their unique beliefs and values. Faith-based therapy exceeds simply addressing issues but also involves rebuilding a foundation that empowers an individual to regain sustained strength, resilience, purpose, peace, and joy.
Trauma Informed Care creates a safe, non-judgmental environment that fosters trust and empowerment that prevents re-traumatization while addressing and healing from the diverse impact of trauma. I utilize this treatment modality to promote not just trauma healing but also trauma-growth. In doing so, the client is able to obtain a new perspective on healing and moving forward in life, build healthy relationships, sustained resilience, a renewed purpose, and transformation for an improved quality of life.
CBT is utilized as a form of psychotherapy that allows the client, in collaboration with the therapist, to identify and alter negative unwanted or unhealthy thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress and a substandard quality of life. CBT is goal-oriented and tailored to each client's desired outcomes and current circumstances. In CBT, the client will be able to obtain increased skill building to independently manage challenges in a healthy manner. CBT is an empowering evidence-based treatment modality that provides the client with practical tools for problem solving, stress management, and emotional regulation.
