Hello! My name is Abby, I have been working in the mental health field for 8 years. I have worked in a variety of settings assisting people in overcoming a multitude of challenges. I am a Latina therapist and am passionate about discussing ways that culture plays out in our everyday lives. I believe in the power of therapy, and the healing nature of processing feelings and emotions. I use an eclectic style of therapy modalities to fit your needs. I am currently accepting patients over the age of 18 for individual therapy. Prior to beginning treatment we will meet for a consultation to make sure you are a good fit for my practice.

First session
In our first session we will start with introductions, I will gather information about your past, we will spend some time talking about your childhood, your life experiences and move through the present time. Once we identify what you want to focus on, we will discuss a treatment plan that will meet your needs.

Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I believe that the CBT model is very helpful in decreasing negative thinking and catastrophizing and can help you improve your ability to change your perspectives and change your behaviors.
