I am Dr. Kammy Brown, founder and lead clinician at All’s Well Practice Group. As a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with a PhD in Nursing, I provide comprehensive, virtual mental health care to individuals and families across 18 states. My practice was built to end the frustration of fragmented care. By combining medical diagnostic insight, psychiatric medication management, ADHD and autism evaluations, and evidence-based psychotherapy, I eliminate the need to juggle multiple providers. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, or the weight of a major life transition, my approach is grounded, collaborative, and committed to looking at your complete health picture—not just your symptoms.

Good mental healthcare connects mind and body. At All’s Well Practice Group, Dr. Kammy Brown bridges medical prescribing, neurodevelopmental evaluations, and talk therapy through secure telehealth across 18 states.

First session

Entering a psychiatric or therapy session for the very first time can feel overwhelming, vulnerable, and intimidating. In our initial 60-minute intake evaluation, my primary objective is to replace apprehension with profound relief, deep validation, and operational structure. You enter an unhurried, respectful, and fully confidential telehealth space where you are treated as the foremost authority on your lived experience, while I serve as your clinical guide and diagnostic partner. During this foundational meeting, we take a deep, systematic dive into your complete whole-health history. Because of my dual board certification in both family medicine and psychiatric-mental health, we do not limit our conversation to subjective mood symptoms. We thoroughly review your physical health history, current medications, nutritional patterns, sleep hygiene, prior laboratory results, family medical background, neurodevelopmental milestones, and day-to-day occupational and relational stressors. Rather than walking away with vague generalities or unanswered questions, you leave our very first session with: A precise, transparent clinical impression explaining what may be driving your symptoms from both a biological and psychological standpoint. An objective discussion regarding whether specialized diagnostic assessments—such as adult or pediatric ADHD and autism spectrum testing—are clinically indicated. Clear, collaborative education on whether psychiatric medication management is appropriate, including honest discussions of side effects, expected benefit timelines, and conservative dosing philosophies. An initial roadmap for talk therapy, establishing practical, short-term coping mechanisms and executive functioning tools you can implement immediately. A transparent administrative and scheduling plan, ensuring your follow-up appointments and insurance or payment expectations are completely solidified.

Strengths

My greatest clinical strength is offering rare, dual-lens expertise that connects the dots between mind and body. Because I am board-certified in both psychiatric-mental health and family practice, with a PhD in nursing, I do not evaluate symptoms in isolation. I look closely at underlying physical health, lab markers, sleep architecture, and neurochemistry alongside emotional stressors and life transitions. In sessions, this background translates into: Integrated Prescribing & Psychotherapy: You never have to navigate conflicting advice between a separate prescriber and a therapist. I integrate ongoing medication adjustments directly with evidence-based talk therapy, family and couples counseling, and actionable transition coaching. Neurodevelopmental Precision: Advanced training in thorough, objective ADHD and autism assessments across the lifespan—helping clients understand how their brains work and replacing self-criticism with clarity and strategy. Collaborative, Transparent Partnership: Clients describe my style as warm, direct, and nonjudgmental. I demystify psychiatric decisions by walking you through the clinical rationale behind every recommendation, ensuring you remain an active, equal partner in your own care.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is an individual, couple, or family ready to take an active, invested, and collaborative role in their healing and personal development. Often, they come to me feeling stretched thin by anxiety, persistent low mood, or neurodivergence—such as newly discovered or long-standing ADHD and autism spectrum traits. They frequently find themselves at a high-stakes crossroads or emotional inflection point: navigating severe professional burnout, stepping into or out of a major career change, parenting an adolescent who is struggling academically or socially, recalibrating communication within an intimate relationship, or absorbing the exhausting emotional and physical weight of caregiving for aging family members. Many of my clients have felt let down or fragmented by conventional medical systems that separate the head from the rest of the body. They are seeking a provider who will not simply hand them a 15-minute prescription or offer open-ended, unstructured conversation with no clear direction. Instead, they want a thorough, grounded clinician who can connect biological markers, endocrine and metabolic health, sleep habits, and lifestyle realities directly to their emotional state. They are thoughtful, self-reflective, and motivated to achieve genuine functional recovery, seeking practical behavioral strategies, diagnostic clarity, and careful pharmacological management all within one unified, trusting therapeutic relationship.

Treatment methods

Strength-Based

I recognize that you are not defined by a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. In my practice, a strength-based approach means uncovering the internal resources, adaptive coping tools, and personal values you already possess. Rather than viewing challenges as deficits, we reframe neurodivergence and emotional hurdles to build on your innate capabilities—helping you regain agency, build confidence, and navigate life transitions from a position of personal power.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help you identify and dismantle automatic negative thought patterns, cognitive distortions, and self-limiting beliefs that drive anxiety, depression, and overwhelm. Together, we examine the concrete feedback loop between your thoughts, physical sensations, and behaviors. By introducing practical cognitive restructuring and behavioral experiments, we replace reactive habits with grounded, constructive strategies for daily life.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is ideal for navigating acute life transitions and high-stress inflection points. Instead of spending extensive time rehashing past problems, we focus on identifying your ideal future and formulating actionable, pragmatic steps to get there. We highlight what is already working in your routine, establish clear, measurable milestones, and create momentum so you feel equipped to resolve immediate challenges efficiently.
