Hello! I am a licensed therapist in the state of Ohio. I have been licensed for over 16 years and I have a doctorate in Community Care and Counseling with a focus in Traumatology. I am a culturally and spiritually sensitive therapist who focuses on the areas of depression, anxiety, and trauma. My style is very relaxed and compassionate while utilizing techniques to help you reframe your thinking and explore your emotions to help you feel better, make better choices, and ultimately become a better you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is the assessment where I will focus on your getting to know you, your background, and what brings you to counseling. I want to get a good understanding of your symptoms and your goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My practice focuses on depression, anxiety, and trauma. I also integrate spirituality into counseling for clients that request it.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with adults. Even if you feel all over the place and are not sure why you are signing up, come on to your appointment - I'll help you figure it out.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I prefer DBT because of its emphasis on emotion regulation and the balance with the Change-Acceptance dialect. I use this modality to help clients understand that despite to world feeling out of control, their emotions are what is in their control and so we learn how to manage them despite what may be happening around them.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use techniques from this modality for those client who are dealing with deeper issues of trauma and feel stuck. We process components of their trauma narratives to weed out thoughts from their memories that are causing prolonged pain to see if we can provide relief.
