(she/her)
Growing up in Brazil, and having had extensive experience traveling and living in different parts of the world, I have a passion working with people with a variety of perspectives and traditions. I am a licensed psychologist fluent in English and Portuguese (native speaker) and provide therapy in both languages. I attended New Mexico State University and earned my doctoral degree in counseling psychology. I also have an educational specialist degree in school psychology. I specialize in college aged students, women's issues, fertility, single mothers by choice, grief, interpersonal and romantic relationships, and anxiety.
During our first session I will want to know more about your background and reasons for your visit. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable exploring your current stressors.
As mentioned previously, I have experience working with individuals who are coping with anxiety, infertility, interpersonal relationships, career-relateds stressors, and academic concerns. I look forward in helping you meet your goals.
I have extensive experience working with college aged clients. Interpersonal relationship concerns, career transitions, and fertility stressors are also some of my areas of interests and topics in which I have experience working with.
Relational
Relational therapy examines connections and disconnections and how these impact current relationships. My goal is to create a safe and empathic setting so that you can examine your current stressors and interpersonal relationships. Examining cultural factors is also important. Alongside Relational Cultural Therapy I also incorporate CBT and Self-Compassion Techniques.
