New to Grow
I am a licensed therapist, passionate about helping adolescents, young adults, and families navigate anxiety, depression, and trauma. I believe healing happens in spaces where you feel seen, heard, and supported, so I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can show up as your authentic self. My approach is both compassionate and structured, combining evidence-based practices with a culturally responsive lens to support meaningful, lasting change.
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you: your experiences, your concerns, and what brought you to therapy. You can expect a relaxed, supportive conversation where you are not pressured to share more than you’re comfortable with. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your needs and begin identifying goals for our work together. By the end of the session, we will collaborate on a plan that feels aligned with what you want to achieve in therapy.
My greatest strengths lie in my ability to combine structure with compassion. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as DBT and mindfulness to help clients build practical skills for managing emotions, improving relationships, and navigating life’s challenges. I also bring a culturally responsive and trauma-informed perspective to my work, ensuring that each client’s unique background and experiences are honored. Clients often appreciate my ability to create a space that feels both safe and empowering, while also providing clear tools and strategies that lead to real, lasting progress.
I am best positioned to serve adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related challenges, particularly those from underserved or marginalized communities. I work with clients who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or emotionally exhausted and are seeking a space where they feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach is culturally responsive and trauma-informed, helping clients build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and resilience.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as a core part of my therapeutic approach, helping clients build skills to better understand and manage their emotions, navigate relationships, and cope with stress in healthy ways. My experience includes working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, and trauma, where I incorporate DBT strategies like mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation into our work together. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and develop lasting coping skills.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I integrate mindfulness-based therapy alongside Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in building greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns. Mindfulness serves as a foundation for many of the skills we use in therapy, helping clients slow down, stay present, and respond to stress more effectively. In my work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, I use mindfulness techniques such as grounding, breathwork, and emotional awareness to promote balance, clarity, and long-term emotional resilience.
