Hi there! I'm a licensed mental health provider in both North and South Carolina and a licensed clinical addiction specialist. I earned my Master’s degree from William & Mary, and I focus on helping adults work through attachment disorders, unresolved childhood trauma, and PTSD. My passion is guiding clients as they uncover and heal from past trauma, leading to greater self-esteem, emotional balance, stronger coping skills, and healthier relationships.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your history, current challenges, and goals, creating a space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll begin to map out a personalized approach to your healing, focusing on what feels most important to you.
As a therapist specializing in attachment disorders and childhood trauma, I believe my biggest strength is creating a space where you can feel truly heard and understood. I know how difficult it can be to open up about past wounds, and I take a gentle, trauma-informed approach to help you uncover the deeper emotional patterns that affect your relationships and sense of self. Whether you’re an individual or part of a couple, I’m here to guide you through the healing process at a pace that feels right for you, building trust and working toward meaningful, lasting change.
Attachment-based treatment focuses on understanding how early relationships shape emotional and relational patterns. I utilize it by helping clients explore their attachment history, addressing unmet needs from childhood, and fostering secure relationships. This approach allows clients to heal from trauma and develop healthier ways to connect with others.
Psychodynamic treatment explores unconscious patterns, emotions, and conflicts rooted in early life experiences. I use it in practice by guiding clients to uncover hidden feelings and past dynamics that influence their current behavior and relationships. This process helps clients gain self-awareness and resolve inner conflicts to promote lasting emotional growth.
In couples therapy, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners identify and express their core emotions and attachment needs. By guiding couples through moments of vulnerability and fostering empathy, I support them in breaking negative interaction cycles. This process deepens emotional connection, strengthens attachment bonds, and promotes healthier communication.
