New to Grow
I specialize in grief and loss, maternal mental health, faith-based counseling, and spiritual or existential exploration. I also have additional training in helping women who are navigating postpartum anxiety, trauma, and the emotional weight that can come with motherhood. We’ll gently explore the pressures that are keeping you stuck, so you can begin to feel more grounded and yourself again. My approach is warm, discerning, and grounded in the belief that meaningful healing often requires care that honors the complexity of what you are carrying. As a former school counselor, I also understand the difficulties families face. Whether you are moving through loss, adjusting to motherhood, wrestling with faith, or trying to find your footing in a season of uncertainty, you do not have to navigate it without support. If you are looking for a space that is thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply attuned to your experience, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
Therapy is a space to feel genuinely understood and tend to the pain you have been carrying. You will have the opportunity to thoughtfully discover the meaning and purpose that guides your life, while gaining practical skills to move toward the life you truly want. During your first session, we'll explore the struggles you have been facing and create a therapeutic goal to help guide our time together. You are invited to schedule an appointment when convenient for you; I offer online therapy sessions via video on early weekday mornings and some afternoons.
As a dual-licensed clinical and school counselor, I bring extensive experience to support the challenges you're facing. My doctoral training and work as a professor reflects my deep commitment to research-informed training, allowing me to offer care tailored to your needs.
Life can look successful on the outside while feeling exhausting on the inside. I enjoy working with adults who have spent years being strong, capable, and dependable for everyone else but find themselves feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply worn out. Many are high achievers who measure their worth by productivity, carry impossible expectations for themselves, or struggle to quiet the inner voice that says they should always be doing more. I have a special appreciation for working with helping professionals, educators, leaders, and others in caregiving roles because I understand the unique pressures that come with supporting others while having little space to care for yourself. Therapy with me is not about offering quick fixes or asking you to replace difficult thoughts with positive ones you don't believe. It is about slowing down long enough to understand the experiences and patterns that shaped you, making sense of what has kept you stuck, and discovering new ways of relating to yourself and the people you love. Whether you're carrying grief, navigating a major life transition, feeling weighed down by anxiety, or longing to experience more peace and authenticity, I offer a place where you can be fully known without judgment. My hope is that our work together helps you move beyond simply getting through each day so you can build a life that feels more meaningful, connected, and genuinely your own.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We’ll work together to explore how your thoughts and actions impact how you’re feeling on a day and day basis and determine if you might like to make any adjustments for your overall wellbeing.
Existential
I believe many struggles become easier to understand when we explore the deeper questions underneath them such as questions about purpose, identity, relationships, freedom, loss, and what truly matters. Rather than focusing only on reducing symptoms, I help clients create a life that feels more authentic, meaningful, and aligned with their values.
Grief Therapy
Grief is about much more than losing someone you love. It can also come from the loss of a relationship, a dream, your health, a life you expected, or a part of yourself. I help clients make space for their grief, understand how it is affecting them, and gradually learn to carry it in a way that allows them to move forward without leaving what mattered behind.
Faith based therapy
For clients who desire it, I thoughtfully integrate faith into the counseling process in a way that honors your personal beliefs and values. Rather than separating emotional healing from your spiritual life, we can explore how your faith can be a source of strength, hope, meaning, and guidance as you navigate life's challenges.
