Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and I'm glad you're here. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable sharing what is on your mind. Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, grieving a loss, struggling with depression, navigating relationship challenges, or adjusting to a major life change, you don't have to face it alone. I have more than 25 years of experience helping adults through life's challenges. I believe every person's story is unique, so I take time to understand your experiences, your strengths, and what matters most to you. Together, we'll identify goals that feel meaningful and create a plan that fits your individual needs. My approach is thoughtful, compassionate, and flexible. I draw from different therapy methods based on what works best for you because I believe therapy is never one-size-fits-all. My hope is that our work together helps you gain insight, build confidence, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I'll spend time learning about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you're facing, and what you hope to accomplish. You'll have plenty of space to share your story at your own pace, ask questions, and decide whether we're a good fit. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we'll do together.
One of my greatest strengths lies in my ability to truly listen without judgment. I value building a trusting relationship where you feel safe being yourself. I combine compassion, curiosity, and experience to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns while supporting you as you work toward meaningful change. I believe healing happens through collaboration, honesty, and a strong therapeutic relationship.
I enjoy working with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, or simply feeling uncertain about the next chapter of life. Whether you're coming to therapy with a specific concern or you're looking for support as you sort through life's challenges, I'll walk alongside you with empathy and encouragement. Together, we'll work toward helping you feel more confident, connected, and empowered in your daily life.
Other specialties
I identify as
Psychodynamic
Psychodynamic therapy, often referred to as "talk therapy," allows clients to tell their stories in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we explore how past experiences may continue to influence current thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors. Developing insight into these patterns often leads to greater self-awareness, emotional healing, and meaningful personal growth. This approach integrates well with other therapeutic methods to create lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. By recognizing and understanding these patterns, clients can make positive changes that strengthen emotional regulation, enhance problem-solving skills, increase self-confidence, and support lasting overall well-being.
Eclectic
No two people are alike, and therapy should reflect that. I use an eclectic approach by drawing from several evidence-based treatment models to create an individualized plan that best meets your needs. This flexibility allows therapy to evolve as you grow, ensuring that treatment remains relevant, practical, and effective throughout your journey.
Grief Therapy
Grief takes many forms and extends far beyond the loss of a loved one. Individuals may grieve the loss of relationships, health, employment, identity, or significant life changes. My years of hospice experience have given me the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families during some of life's most difficult moments. Grief can be isolating, but you do not have to experience it alone. Therapy provides a compassionate space to process emotions, find meaning, and learn to move forward while honoring your loss.
Interpersonal
Healthy relationships play an important role in emotional well-being. Interpersonal therapy focuses on improving communication, strengthening relationships, resolving conflicts, and increasing emotional awareness. Within our therapeutic relationship, we build a foundation of trust, honesty, respect, and collaboration that serves as the basis for meaningful personal growth and lasting change.
