Korei grew up in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Ohio University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She has worked in nursing since 2014 in various specialties and with all age groups across the lifespan. She has always had a passion for mental health and a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders, as her younger brother has ASD. She has two daughters, ages 13 and 2.5, and she is always looking for fun spots to check out with them. In her free time, she goes to the gym, plays basketball, and enjoys hiking with her dog, Ace. Her favorite quote is, “change is inevitable, growth is optional.”
Our first session will be one hour duration with subsequent sessions being 30 minutes in length. In this first session we will discuss current symptoms, prior medical and psychiatric history, family history, and both medication and non- medication options for managing symptoms. I take a holistic approach and meet my patients where they are at, collaborating with them to create a treatment plan that we feel is best tailored to help them persevere through all the challenges life brings.
I prioritize educating my patients about their diagnosis, the medication options, and rationales for various treatment measures so that they feel empowered to be an active participant in their treatment plan. As simple as it sounds my greatest strength is listening, I actively listen to my patients providing a non-judgmental, supportive space to help navigate situational stressors.
