Paulina Lacossade
I am a DNP-prepared, dual-certified Psychiatric and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years in healthcare. I specialize in helping adults navigate through complex mental health journeys. My approach is based on holistic and evidence-based care that is tailored specifically to you. I take the time to listen to your needs and work collaboratively with you to create a stable, supportive environment where you feel empowered. Whether we are focusing on medication management or therapeutic support, my goal is to help you feel grounded, heard, and in control of your well-being. I am available for medication management, however I *DO NOT* prescribe controlled substances at this time.
First session
Our first session will focus on a collaborative intake assessment. You can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and secure environment, via telehealth. The goal of this encounter is aimed at building trust and laying the foundation for a personalized treatment plan.
Strengths
My clinical experience in managing both complex medical and mental health conditions allows me to look at your well-being through a comprehensive lens. I have worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and corrections healthcare and have witnessed firsthand the need for accessible mental health care. If you’re struggling with your mental wellness and feel that medication might be a tool for your recovery—or if you just need an expert perspective to help you decide—I am here to help.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are individuals of all ages—from adolescents to adults—who are navigating anxiety, depression, or overwhelming life transitions. They are often considering medication management for the first time or looking for a fresh, collaborative relationship with a psychiatric provider. They value open communication and are ready to partner with me to find a balanced, personalized treatment path. Feel free to reach out!
Treatment methods
Supportive
I provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can openly discuss your mental health challenges. My clinical philosophy centers on shared decision-making. This means we will discuss the 'why' behind every recommendation, explore both medication and lifestyle changes, and move at a pace that feels safe for you. My goal is to empower you with the tools and diagnostic clarity needed to regain control of your life.
