I'm Melanie Rosario, a licensed marriage and family therapist and co-owner of Loving Life Today. I focus on the relationship you have with yourself and others to facilitate growth, healing, and happiness. My specialties include navigating life transitions, postpartum challenges, women’s issues, depression, and trauma. Through traditional psychotherapy and innovative modalities, I guide clients in overcoming emotional complexities, fostering healthier relationships, and cultivating a more fulfilling life.
In the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can share their experiences and feelings without judgment. I’ll take time to understand their unique challenges and goals, conducting an initial assessment to explore the areas they want to focus on. This session is all about building rapport, establishing trust, and beginning to create a roadmap for their therapeutic journey together.
My greatest strengths as a provider include my empathetic approach, extensive experience, and commitment to client empowerment. With over 14 years in mental health, I draw from both professional knowledge and personal experiences, allowing me to connect deeply with my clients. I utilize a range of evidence-based techniques, such as EMDR, Gottman method and Emotional Focus Therapy, to effectively address trauma and improve relationships. My wellness and holistic perspective enables me to guide clients toward emotional healing and personal growth, fostering a more positive outlook on life.
I am best positioned to serve individuals and couples facing life transitions, whether it's postpartum adjustments, relationship changes, or personal growth challenges. I work particularly well with women navigating the unique emotional landscapes of their experiences, including those dealing with depression and trauma. My bilingual services in English and Spanish allow me to reach a diverse clientele, ensuring that everyone feels understood and supported on their journey toward healing and empowerment.
Is a therapy that focuses on how your relationships impact your feelings. We’ll explore important connections in your life and how they influence your mood. We’ll look at specific areas like grief, conflicts with loved ones, adjustments to life changes, and ways to improve social skills and build new friendships.
Relational Therapy focuses on understanding the patterns that influence the kinds of relationships you enter and experience. By exploring these patterns, we can work together to change them, helping you cultivate healthier relationships. This approach also aims to improve your current relationships by enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and increasing intimacy. Through this process, you'll gain insights that can lead to more fulfilling and meaningful connections with others.
CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and unhealthy behaviors. In therapy, you’ll learn to recognize how your thoughts influence your feelings and actions. We’ll work together to challenge unhelpful beliefs and develop more positive, realistic thinking.
EMDR is a therapy that helps reprocess traumatic memories and reduce emotional distress. We’ll work together in structured phases, focusing on specific memories while using techniques like guided eye movements. I conduct EMDR sessions in person to ensure a safe environment, but I can incorporate some EMDR methods online to help you develop coping skills for trauma-related symptoms. My goal is to support your healing process.
