Greetings, My name is Syed Kamal! I am a board-certified, practicing neuropsychiatrist/cognitive neurologist who has pursued specialty training within the Mass General Brigham/Harvard Medical School system. During my general psychiatry training, it became evident that I needed to pursue specialty training to enhance treatment options beyond rudimentary neurotransmitter-based agents. With the collective understanding of brain-mind relationships, the patient and I develop a cohesive plan to address behavior, mood, and cognition.
My communication style is characterized by calmness, accommodation, and openness. I want my patients to feel comfortable discussing anything with me and to feel integrated into the treatment process.

Supportive
In my work with patients, I integrate supportive therapy to help individuals stabilize, manage symptoms, and improve functioning. This approach is particularly effective for patients experiencing significant stress, chronic mental illness, trauma recovery, or limited insight.
