Carol LeBlanc
My name is Carol LeBlanc PhD. In addition to being a therapist I am a mother, andthe oldest child of eight siblings. I have been studying and practicing psychotherapy since 1993. I work predominantly with men and women who struggle with mental illness, substance abuse, trauma and a combination of the three. I also work with women who arre or in various stages of becoming single mothers.
First session
I prefer spending the 1st half of the 1st session getting an idea of what a client is looking for in therapy. In the 2nd half I shift to mandatory paperwork.
Strengths
What I bring to sessions is a lot of life experience as well as training. I've traveled to unusual places, spent time with a wide variety people and cared for individuals, and groups, young and old. I've accepted that what may work for one may not work for all so I'm constantly on the lookout for what's new and creative.
