Hey Y'all! I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Sex therapist, Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, and Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist in Pennsylvania. I have two master's degrees from Drexel and Widener University, and an almost-doctorate (ABD) from Widener in Human Sexuality Studies. I have over 15 years of experience centering the healing of people with marginalized identities (specifically Black & Brown queer folx). My areas of focus are family-of-origin challenges, relational health & wellness, couple & sex therapy, perinatal mental health and perinatal loss, and broad-spectrum grief & loss support. *Please schedule a consultation BEFORE scheduling an intake session with me!* *I am also only servicing clients seeking individual therapy at this time.*

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will do some brief introductions, followed by identification of the presenting problems and hopes for therapy. I will gather some historical information, begin the joining process, and close with identification of 2-3 goals for treatment (these can be adapted as needed).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I've been doing some form of therapeutic work for many years. I have a comprehensive knowledge of levels of care, as well as working with people at all different levels of intervention. In addition to experience, I also just genuinely care about people and their well-being. I have a deep purpose and desire to support you getting to where you're trying to be energetically, spiritually, relationally, sexually, and mentally. I am committed to keeping it real with you, being honest while still caring, and helping you align your behaviors with the morals, values, and beliefs you have about YOU.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with people who want to live a life that more aligned, peaceful, whole-hearted, and joy-filled. At times those of marginalized identities, specifically Black & Brown and LGBTQIA+, have a harder time feeling like that kind of life is accessible for a variety of reasons. My clients most often exist within marginalized identities while navigating the very human experiences of family creation, healthy partnering, grief & loss, and sexual wellness. My guidepost for treatment is Unpack | Align | Connect | Evolve.

My treatment methods

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy which has it's roots in attachment theory. I frequently incorporate the interventions of Dr. Sue Johnson and her 'Hold Me Tight' content.

Grief Therapy

I am a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS) and provide both psycho-education and grief therapy for all forms of grief. In addition to death-related grief & loss, I also have a specific focus on non-death-related grief (e.g., relationship endings, moves, job changes, more personally-aligned ways of being), and perinatal loss.

Sex Therapy

I have a 2nd masters in sexuality education and sex therapy, as well as doctoral-level education and training in sex therapy. I work with clients individually and partnered to address all forms of sexual health & wellness including sexual self schema work, desire discrepancies, sexual function issues, sexual orientation, gender identity, healing from sexual trauma, perinatal mental health and sexuality, etc.
