Claudine Passard

PMHNP1 year of experience
New to Grow

Hello, I'm Dr. Claudine Passard, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of healthcare experience. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns. Through ReNu Health, my telepsychiatry practice, I offer personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapeutic interventions to help clients achieve lasting emotional wellness. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey.

First session

During our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to treatment. I will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, including your current symptoms, mental health history, medical history, medications, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share any concerns you may have. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Depending on your situation, this may include medication management, psychoeducation, coping strategies, and recommendations for therapy or other supportive resources. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to take the next steps toward improved mental health and well-being.

Strengths

I bring a compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered approach to every session. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, I take a holistic view of health, recognizing the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and concerns. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe in partnering with clients to develop realistic, achievable goals and empowering them to take an active role in their treatment. Clients often appreciate my ability to listen attentively, explain complex mental health concepts in an easy-to-understand way, and provide personalized care that respects their values, strengths, and life circumstances. My goal is not only to help reduce symptoms but also to support long-term resilience, personal growth, and overall wellness.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are adults (18 years and older) who are seeking compassionate, evidence-based mental health care and are motivated to improve their overall well-being. I am best positioned to serve individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, stress-related concerns, and life transitions. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, parents, and individuals navigating personal, academic, or career challenges who are looking for support in managing symptoms, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing their quality of life. I work well with clients who value a collaborative approach to treatment and are open to learning new coping strategies, gaining insight into their thoughts and behaviors, and actively participating in their treatment plan. My treatment goals focus on helping clients achieve symptom stabilization, develop healthy coping skills, improve daily functioning, strengthen resilience, and build lasting habits that support mental and emotional wellness. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing journey.

Treatment methods

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is a core component of my practice. I use this treatment method to help clients better understand their mental health conditions, symptoms, treatment options, and coping strategies. By providing clear, evidence-based information, I empower clients to actively participate in their care, make informed decisions, and develop skills to manage their symptoms effectively. Psychoeducation is integrated throughout treatment and may include discussions about diagnoses, medications, lifestyle factors, stress management, relapse prevention, and available resources. My goal is to enhance clients' understanding, promote self-awareness, reduce stigma, and support long-term recovery and wellness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment approach that I incorporate into my practice to help clients identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. Through CBT techniques, I work collaboratively with clients to develop healthier coping strategies, improve problem-solving skills, challenge cognitive distortions, and promote positive behavioral changes. CBT is tailored to each individual's needs and is commonly used to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and stress-related disorders. My goal is to help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical skills that support lasting mental wellness.
