Congratulations on taking the first step in improving your life satisfaction and feeling better than you did yesterday! Seeking therapy is a big step in making your mental well-being a priority and I am proud of you. You should be too. I will be with you every step of the way also-so you’re not on this journey alone. I specialize in helping people analyze their circumstances, explore their thoughts that arise from those circumstances, and process their feelings so that they can make the behavioral changes they wish to make in order to improve their overall life satisfaction. Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, or feeling stuck, I am here to help. I bring my nonjudgmental attitude and therapeutic techniques to every session and will equip you with the skills needed to overcome whatever challenges you face while also being a source of support. In our first session we will start building a relationship by sharing introductions. I will have read your intake and answers to your mood scale questions, however I like to hear how you describe your reasons for seeking therapy at this point in your life. I will ask probing questions to better understand where you are coming from and your history. I will also review my Informed Consent, which explains your rights and expectations for therapy. It is necessary to be completed prior to our intake for this reason and in order for us to continue to work together. In the following sessions, I allow you to take the lead in talking about your life and struggles, while highlighting patterns I notice, gently challenging you if needed, and offering my perspective along with tangible coping strategies to take away from our session to help create positive change.
I am honest yet compassionate. I truly want you to live your best life and be equipped to handle all that life can throw at you. I believe in the techniques I teach, and have seen them work in real time. It is so exciting to see people take back control of their emotions and achieve their goals.
I love working with adults who are motivated to see a positive change in their life, and who are just needing the skills in order to get there. I am here to teach those skills which will allow them to navigate the various seasons of life; or those who are going through some life transitions, for some it may be working out career goals as they transition out of college or consider a new profession, for others it may be exploring their needs and helping them move forward when experiencing difficulties within their relationships, or helping someone improve their self-esteem and increase their confidence. I assist those who feel stuck, either due to depression holding them in a negative space or anxiety that is keeping them in a constant loop of worry and fear. ***When booking a session, please choose times on the half hour to better allow me to be available for as many sessions as I can to meet the needs of my clients. For example, if I am available starting between 4:30pm-5:30pm, please select 4:30pm, so that another client may choose 5:30pm, and so on. If everyone chooses to do so, there will be more times available for everyone.***
This is my main form of treatment which is successful in treating many issues including minor depression and anxiety concerns.
