Hello, I'm Kara. Do you feel overwhelmed with your personal or professional life? Do you struggle to complete daily tasks? Do you struggle to connect with people you once were close to? I help families connect and communicate with one another. I help people manage anxiety, depression, and trauma. Together, we can find ways to heal and build the relationships you desire. It can be difficult to seek help, much less find the right therapist for you. I can offer you a safe, judgement free place to grow and heal.
In our first session together we will give brief introductions. I will ask questions and review your intake forms. We will work on getting to know each other and setting expectations and goals for therapy. I often ask, if you've been in therapy before, what you enjoyed and disliked about the experience. This give me some perspective on how to you and your expectations for treatment.
I utilize Strength Based methods, I believe you know yourself better than anyone else could. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Behavioral Therapy.
I enjoy working with children and their families to strengthen their connection with one another. I've worked with the foster care system to establish healthy home lives for blended families.
