I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing compassionate, judgment-free care for adolescents and adults. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and other mental health conditions through thoughtful, individualized medication management and education.

I bring dual training as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, along with experience caring for patients in rural and community settings.

I aim to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and involved in their care. My goal is to help you feel more balanced, stable, and supported in your daily life while we work toward meaningful improvement in your symptoms and overall well-being. I also welcome the integration of faith and spirituality into care when it is important to the client. My Christian faith informs my compassion, integrity, and approach to caring for others, and I aim to provide respectful, client-centered care aligned with each person's values.

First session

In our first session, I focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you in. We'll talk through your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, and any previous treatments or medications you've tried. I also take time to learn about your goals, daily life, and what you hope to get out of care. From there, we will start building a treatment plan together, which may include medication options if appropriate, as well as education and next steps. My goal is for you to leave the first visit feeling heard, supported, and clear about the plan moving forward. There is no pressure to have everything figured out-this is a collaborative process, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Strengths

I bring dual training as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, along with experience caring for patients in rural and community settings. I was raised in a small-town, close-knit family, which shaped the way I approach care with compassion, patience, and a strong emphasis on truly listening to people. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD. I take a thoughtful, practical approach to medication management and education, with a focus on helping clients feel understood, supported, and actively involved in their treatment. My goal is to create a space where people feel comfortable being honest about what they're going through and confident that we are working together toward meaningful, realistic improvement in their daily lives.

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, burnout, stress, and life transitions. Many of my clients are busy professionals, caregivers, students, or individuals trying to balance work, relationships, and personal well-being while feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted. I also welcome clients who value incorporating faith and spirituality into their mental health care as part of a holistic approach to healing and growth.

Treatment methods

Faith-based therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, compassionate, and individualized. While I utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and medication management, my Christian faith serves as a foundational part of how I view healing, purpose, and growth.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I strive to create a nonjudgmental, compassionate environment where clients feel heard, supported and empowered throughout the treatment process.

Supportive

I provide supportive therapy through active listening, emotional support, psychoeducation, and encouragement while helping clients navigate stressors, life transitions, and mental health challenges.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing techniques to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen motivation for change, and support progress toward personal treatment goals.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

I incorporate solution-focused strategies to help clients identify strengths, build practical coping skills, and work toward achievable goals in a supportive and goal-oriented manner.
