Patricia Cooper
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work with experience providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to both veterans and adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and guided toward meaningful change. Through my work I have worked collaboratively with clients to develop coping skills, build resilience, reconnnect with their strengths, and improve their overall emotional well-being and quality of life.
First session
In your first session, we will focus on getting to know YOU, your goals, and what brings you to therapy. I will ask about your experiences, strengths, and challenges, and together we'll explore what you hope to achieve. You can expect a safe, nonjudemental space where your thoughts and feelings are heard, and by the end of the session, we'll begin to outline a personalized plan to help you move foward toward your goals.
Strengths
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the combination of evidence-based techniques with compassion and strengths-focused care. I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs, integrating CBT, compassion focused strategies, trauma-informed care, and strengths based methods. Clients often report feeling heard, empowered, and supported as they build resilience, reduce distress, and achieve meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

Grief Therapy
I use Grief Therapy to help clients process loss at their own pace, exploring emotions such as sadness, guilt, or anger in a safe and supportive space. The goal is to find healing and renewed meaning.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I help patients process traumatic experiences safely, using grounding, cognitive and compassion-based techniques to reduce symptoms and and restore a sense of control.
Strength-Based
