Congratulations to you on taking the first and one of the most important steps in seeking a better life! You will no longer have to struggle or figure it all out on your own. I take pride in offering my clients a safe, judgement free, and relatable environment to discuss any of life's struggles. I openly assert that I love what I do and you will be able to see that in our work together. My name is Kaydianne Fletcher and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida with a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have experience in helping adults who are facing difficulty with anxiety, depression, mood swings, trauma, grief/loss, and work/ life balance. Therapy will be a journey that you and I will embark on together: a process that I am determined to see you through. Are you ready to embark on this journey with me?
During our first therapy session, I prefer to focus on discussing expectations for our relationship and work together while learning about your background and reason for seeking therapy. Once we have begun the therapy process, we will collaborate on identifying goals as well as things to do after and between therapy sessions based only on what is necessary for your growth.
Through my own personal experiences with inequalities in race and gender, previously being in a toxic relationship, as well as navigating the demands of the helping profession, I've truly developed an intimate understanding about how to deal with these situations.
I have experience in helping adults who are facing difficulty with anxiety, depression, anger, mood swings, trauma, grief/loss, work/ life balance, and substance addiction. In addition, I provide emotional and mental support for helping professionals, most specifically doctors, nurses, and mental health providers (psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health counselors, and substance abuse counselors). I teach ways to unwind the mind in order to prevent work interfering in personal life. Identifying ways to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue is an essential area of focus. I place emphasis on healthy boundary-setting and effective communication in working and/or professional relationships as well as personal and/or familial relationships. I also specialize in treating BIPOC in need of assistance with inequalities of the outside world, intergenerational trauma, and trauma within the family.
