Hi, my name is Heather. Do you feel overwhelmed, stressed, and unable to focus due to life transitions or constant demands? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, school, work and health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself and set healthy boundaries? I help adolescents and adults manage anxiety and depression and avoid burnout. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We will collaborate and use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I also integrate mindfulness and nature therapy to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself and those around you. Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary, but we all need extra support sometimes. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow, and I would be honored to come alongside you in your journey. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Meeting with a therapist for the first time can be intimidating, so my goal for our first session is to just get to know one another. I usually share a little about myself professionally and personally so you have a good idea of who I am, but the majority of the first session is hear from you. I want to get to know you and to hear what has led you to reaching out for therapy at this time. The most important part of therapy is feeling comfortable with your therapist and making sure working together is a good fit. I look forward to working with you, but if I am not the best fit for you, I will do my best to try to help you find someone who is!

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I utilize an eclectic mix of CBT, mindfulness, humanistic psychology and motivational interviewing and focus on the mind-body connection. I am passionate about the importance of nature and offer walk-and-talk sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I value and celebrate diversity and feel honored to work with clients of all backgrounds and identities. I have lived in five major US cities and know first-hand the demands of living in fast-paced and demanding environments. I offer an empathic approach and help my clients learn to cope with things they cannot change and work towards developing healthier coping skills and habits to thrive. I used to work in a hospital setting, so I have worked with clients of all ages, navigating all life stages. I do not us any one therapeutic approach but try to tailor our work together to meet each client's needs.
