Seeking support when the past still feels present takes courage. You deserve a therapeutic space where you can process unresolved experiences without feeling overwhelmed, rushed, or overexposed. I offer a grounded, compassionate environment where your pace, boundaries, and sense of safety are prioritized from our very first session. I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that supports deep and lasting healing. EMDR differs from traditional talk therapy in that it does not require you to verbally recount every detail of your experiences. Instead, we work with how memories are stored in the brain, allowing your system’s natural capacity for healing and integration to lead the process. I work exclusively with adults navigating the effects of unresolved trauma—whether from a single distressing event or from ongoing relational or developmental experiences. My practice is especially supportive for individuals who feel ready to move beyond simply “coping” and toward a more connected and grounded way of living.

First session

Our first meeting focuses on establishing safety, connection, and a sense of trust. We’ll talk about your history and goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you—there is never any pressure to share more than you’re ready for, and detailed disclosure of painful experiences is not required for healing. We’ll also take time to make sure we’re a good fit for working together and review what you can expect from the EMDR process. My priority is that you feel informed, grounded, and comfortable before we move into any deeper trauma processing work.

Strengths

My approach is warm, transparent, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, where you are an active participant in your own healing process. I take care to explain the EMDR process clearly and to check in regularly so you always know what to expect and feel oriented in our work together. I bring a steady, attuned presence and a strong respect for individual differences in how people think, feel, process, and communicate. Sessions are paced according to your readiness, with an emphasis on emotional safety, consent, and choice at every step. I also welcome feedback throughout our work so that therapy can remain aligned with your needs and goals. My intention is to support the gradual reduction of emotional distress connected to past experiences so they no longer feel as present or defining. Together, we work toward a greater sense of internal stability, resilience, and self-trust—so you can feel more grounded, present, and at ease in your life as it is now.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are adults who are ready to gently explore the impact of past experiences and move toward greater emotional ease, clarity, and self-trust. Many of the people I work with are living with the effects of trauma whether from specific events, early relational experiences, or cumulative stress over time and notice that these experiences continue to show up in their present-day thoughts, emotions, relationships, or sense of self. Clients who tend to benefit most from my work are those who are motivated for change and open to a structured, trauma-focused approach such as EMDR. They may feel “stuck” in patterns like anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, difficulty trusting others, people-pleasing, or persistent negative beliefs about themselves. Others may simply sense that past experiences are still affecting them, even if they don’t have a fully formed narrative of what happened. Because I work remotely, my ideal clients are also comfortable engaging in telehealth sessions and are able to create a private, stable environment for therapy. They are generally able to regulate emotions well enough to participate in outpatient trauma processing and are not currently in acute crisis. I especially enjoy working with clients who are curious about their inner world, willing to build coping tools alongside deeper processing, and interested in understanding how their nervous system responds to stress and memory. Together, we work at a pace that feels safe and collaborative, with an emphasis on stabilization, resourcing, and integration. Ultimately, my goal is to support clients in reducing the emotional weight of the past so they can feel more present, connected, and grounded in their lives today.

Treatment methods

EMDR

I specialize in EMDR, an evidence-based approach that facilitates deep healing. Unlike traditional talk therapy, this method allows your brain to reprocess painful memories without requiring you to share every distressing detail verbally. We focus on your brain’s natural ability to heal, allowing for profound change at a pace that feels right.
