I am a psychiatric provider who specializes in working with adults experiencing anxiety and depression, and I’m passionate about creating a space where you feel genuinely seen and heard. My clinical background includes formal training in evidence-based treatments for mood and anxiety disorders, and I have experience supporting clients from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds. I strive to bring both professional expertise and a warm, grounded presence to every session so that you feel comfortable sharing what’s really going on in your life.

First session

In our first session, you can expect a calm, structured conversation focused on getting to know you as a whole person—not just a list of symptoms. We’ll talk about what has brought you in, your current stressors, your history with anxiety and depression, and what has or hasn’t helped in the past. I’ll share my initial impressions, answer your questions, and collaborate with you on clear next steps, so you leave with a sense of direction and a plan tailored to your goals.

Strengths

My strengths include active listening, empathy, and the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I am thorough in my assessments and take a collaborative approach to treatment, ensuring that clients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and goals. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive counseling and practical coping strategies tailored to each individual's needs.

Ideal clients

I am best positioned to serve adults and older adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, grief, life transitions, and challenges with emotional well-being. I also work with individuals who are struggling with motivation, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and adjustment to medical conditions or significant life changes. Many of my clients are seeking relief from overwhelming symptoms while also wanting to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and improve their overall quality of life. I work well with individuals who are motivated for change, as well as those who may feel stuck, discouraged, or uncertain about where to begin. My approach is especially beneficial for clients who value a collaborative relationship with their provider and want a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs. Whether someone is seeking medication management, supportive therapy, or a combination of both, I strive to help them achieve meaningful and sustainable progress toward their mental health goals.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify negative or unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or low self-esteem and work to replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. Using CBT, I help clients develop practical coping skills, improve problem-solving abilities, and learn strategies to manage difficult emotions more effectively. My goal is to empower clients with tools they can use in everyday life to reduce symptoms, build resilience, and make meaningful progress toward their personal and mental health goals.
