I have 35 years of social work and clinical experience, specializing in assisting diverse clients with issues such as stress, depression, relational challenges, anxiety, and life transitions. My approach is person-centered, aimed at meeting the unique needs of each individual. In addition to my clinical work, I am a life coach who finds fulfillment in helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve life balance.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I will dedicate time to getting to know you and understanding the issues that have led you to seek treatment. Together, we will develop goals and an implementation process. My objective is to ensure you feel comforted knowing that you are heard without judgment.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My biggest strengths include communicating in a calm, compassionate, and attentive manner, as well as creating a non-judgmental environment. I am here to assist and motivate you in pursuing your goals and aspirations within an environment where you feel heard and appreciated.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Clients who are motivated to make positive changes in their life and is seeking a supportive therapeutic relationship to facilitate growth and healing.
Eclectic
Therapy to suit the individual rather than adhering rigidly to one specific therapeutic model. This flexibility allows therapists to provide more comprehensive and effective treatment that meets the diverse needs of clients.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
1. Conduct a thorough assessment to understand the client's presenting issues, underlying beliefs, and behavioral patterns. 2. Establish specific and achievable goals for therapy based on their identified concerns. 3. Sessions are structured and goal-oriented, focusing on addressing specific cognitive and behavioral targets. 4. Discuss progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I work with clients to identify their goals, explore times when the problem was less severe or absent (exceptions), and identify small steps towards change. • Assess clients' perceptions of progress and readiness for change. This helps track improvements and guide further goal-setting. • Have clients to imagine their preferred future without the problem, which often reveals insights into their aspirations and desired outcomes. • Emphasize clients' strengths, skills, and existing resources to empower them in problem-solving and decision-making. • Throughout the therapeutic process, I gather feedback from clients to ensure the approach is effective and aligns with their evolving needs and priorities.

Regina Smith was chosen based on a gut feeling and her years of experience. After our first session, my heart tells me I chose correctly. Regina Smith allowed me to talk and would ask pointed questions. This woman is a listener! I was super excited for this session, she gave homework and I am so ready to get this healing journey started. Be ready to want to heal.
