New to Grow
My ideal client is someone who recognizes that life presents with many challenges and understands that receiving help is not a sign of weakness, rather it is strength. Those life challenges maybe due to stress, health issues, family conflicts, or something more, but they are looking to identify, process, and gain needed support and skills to conquer those challenges. They are looking for someone who will encourage them, keep them accountable, and be open and honest with them. I feel that therapy is more than an occupation for me, rather it is a calling. I will be a listening ear, support, encourager, and support for my clients. I believe that encouraging is a gift which I possess and freely give, and when my clients are going through some of their toughest battles, understanding that they are not alone really matters. There are many different providers who are looking to support and help clients, which is good, because finding the right provider absolutely makes a difference. I want to be a support, sounding board, and ally to work through crisis, challenges, and even give a different perspective. Life is hard, but finding the right provider should not be.
I often use Cognitive based therapy in in my practice. First session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you progress. With the various therapies, we'll look at how thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better."
The main issues I can help you with is stress, anxiety, and self-esteem. The typical treatment plan involves you and I collaborating to define your issues, develop goals, and working to address them. The benefit you can expect is openness, various perspectives, honesty, encouragement, and results with your help, willingness to grow and put in the work.
I strive to serve all clients that I encounter, however, I understand that coming into therapy is never easy. So not every person will walk into a session with an open mind and willingness to identify, grow, change, and communicate, therefore patience and grace is needed. I am looking to aid all clients whether they are struggling with mental health conditions such as anxiety, bipolar depression, as well as those who are needing guidance through life transitions; there is always a way to support others.
