I am a LCSW in the state of Illinois and have been practicing for 10 years. I help people struggling with grief, depression and anxiety to work through these difficult emotions and live with more hope. I use a combination of CBT, Grief Therapy, and Supportive Therapy in my work with clients. My goal is for my clients to always feel heard and supported.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I like to get a sense of your background and why you wanted to start therapy. Knowing some information about your life and past experiences can help me to support you in the difficulties you are facing currently. This allows me to support you in future sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have a great deal of experience with the challenges of the healthcare system and the ways that these challenges can impact emotional health.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have been working in healthcare, including managed care, long term care settings, and hospice facilities, for many years and enjoy helping people navigate their emotional well-being. My clients are often struggling with grief and health conditions that can impact their emotional health. This can be such an overwhelming and isolating experience. I am here to help you walk through your challenges and find ways to manage.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT techniques to help clients process their feelings and reframe thoughts. The way we think and our inner dialouge often impacts how we feel. By learning to adjust our thoughts, we can change how we feel.

Grief Therapy

I believe that grief shows up in many areas in our lives. Grief therapy techniques can be helpful in a variety of situations that involve any type of loss - whether the loss is physical or emotional.

Supportive

I use a supportive approach in my practice to make sure that clients feel validated. When clients feel empathy from their therapist, it can lead to feelings of safety, trust and increased motivation in treatment.
