First session

I know starting therapy or psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, and I'm glad you've taken this step. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we can work together to help you feel your best. During our first session, we will: Get to know each other and discuss what brought you to treatment. Review your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, and any previous treatment you've received. Talk about your personal strengths, goals, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. Review your current medications (if applicable) and discuss whether any changes or recommendations are appropriate. Complete any necessary assessments to better understand your symptoms. Develop an initial treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. You are encouraged to ask questions at any time. Your input is an important part of the treatment process, and decisions about your care will be made collaboratively. Everything you share is confidential, with a few legal exceptions, such as concerns about immediate safety or situations where reporting is required by law. I will explain these exceptions during our visit. By the end of the session, you should have: A better understanding of your diagnosis or areas of concern (when appropriate). A personalized treatment plan. Recommendations for therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, or additional resources, if indicated. An opportunity to schedule follow-up appointments and discuss next steps. My goal is to ensure you leave the appointment feeling heard, respected, and with a clear plan for moving forward. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward improved mental health and overall well-being.

Strengths

Good Communication skills Flexible Team work in achieving the set goals Authentic My strength is building real trust quickly — patients tell me they feel heard, not rushed. I combine solid clinical judgment with a person-centered approach, meaning treatment decisions are always made with you, not just for you. That partnership is what makes the difference.

Ideal clients

I welcome adolescents, and adults seeking compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand their mental health and is motivated to work collaboratively toward meaningful, lasting improvement. Many of my clients seek support for concerns such as: Anxiety and excessive worry Depression and mood changes ADHD and difficulties with focus or organization Trauma- and stress-related symptoms Bipolar disorder Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) Sleep difficulties Women's mental health concerns Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Whether you are seeking help for the first time or continuing treatment after working with another provider, I strive to meet you where you are without judgment. You do not need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. My approach is collaborative and individualized. Together, we will develop a treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, lifestyle strategies, and coordination with your therapist or other healthcare providers when appropriate. My goal is to help you reduce symptoms, improve daily functioning, strengthen resilience, and achieve a better quality of life so you can thrive at home, at work or school, and in your relationships.

Treatment methods

Supportive

Dr. Eze provide supportive therapy in addition to medication mgt and psych diagnostic evaluation.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles into my practice to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is an evidence-based approach that has been shown to be effective in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and many other mental health conditions. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I integrate CBT techniques with comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management when appropriate. My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. During sessions, I help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, build problem-solving skills, and learn techniques to manage stress, emotional distress, and everyday challenges. Together, we work to replace negative or self-defeating thoughts with more balanced and realistic perspectives while creating actionable steps that support lasting behavioral change. I believe treatment is most effective when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, or other emotional challenges, my goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can build resilience, improve daily functioning, and achieve meaningful, long-term wellness.
