In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I’ll greet you with openness and respect. This is a judgment-free space where you’re encouraged to be yourself. We’ll talk about your reasons for seeking therapy, your current challenges, and any goals or hopes you have for our work together. I will ask about your background, health history, and any previous therapy experiences to better understand your context. Together, we’ll begin identifying areas to focus on and discuss how therapy might support your growth and healing.

I do not believe in a one-size fits all approach for therapy. I draw from a range of modalities and adapt sessions to meet your unique needs and goals.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

The use of DBT has been an effective modality of therapy for many clients with different needs. I do incorporate other modalities as well since not one client is the same. Tayloring therapy and modalities used is important for each client.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It’s the basics in therapy and being able to see and identify how our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected can lead to real change.

Play Therapy

I incorporate play/art therapy techniques to help clients express what they are experiencing. Sometimes finding the words are difficult and this technique can help

It was so refreshing to talk to someone who could understand me, who is like-minded. I tend to talk fast, get distracted and over share, and none of these things bothered her. In just the first session I already have a new technique to try out that could help with my condition.
