LCSW, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with more than 8 years of experience in supporting children, teens, adults and families. I believe therapy is best when guided by my individual clients' goals and built on genuine collaboration. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space in order for clients to feel heard, validated and empowered to grow. My main experience stems from working through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress and life transitions.
Our first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other. I will invite you to share what brings you in and what you'd like to dive into and the pace that works best for you. It's also your chance to see if I feel like the right fit as I am just as much curious about you as you are about me. My goal is that you leave feeling heard, hopeful and ready for next steps.
My greatest strength and what I hope to accomplish is making people feel comfortable, accepted and truly heard. I worked to create a space where you can be yourself without judgement and where we can explore challenges that are your top priority. I have worked highly with teens, adults and families suffering from anxiety, depression and trauma. As I have been engaging with some through TF- CBT (trauma focused Cognitive behavioral therapy) I use this model to support more than your trauma.
I work best with clients who are open to exploring their goals and willing to collaborate to find their best result. My ideal clients are older teens and adults navigating stress, anxiety or life changes as well as with families wanting to strengthen their relationships. Being someone who has been through some transitions myself I feel young adulthood can cause a lot of scary feelings such as worry, confusion and loneliness as you navigate the world and gaining more responsibility along the way.
For all of my 8 years experience I have worked closely with children and families. During this time I have created an attachment based style approach. Facilitating parent-child bonding, repairing disrupted attachment and addressing trauma related challenges.
Completed formal training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and have applied the model with multiple children and their families. Currently in progress toward my certification, pending completion of required case completion. I continue to utilize this model in my clinical work to support traumatized youth and families.
