(she/her)
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisor designation (LISW-S) in Ohio and a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. I earned my Master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed a Certificate in Sexual Health at the University of Michigan. I am currently pursuing an advanced Certificate in Problem Sexual Behavior. With 30 years of clinical experience, I bring a depth of knowledge and compassion to my practice. My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, and Holistic Coaching. I also utilize Affirmative Psychotherapy, meeting clients where they are and supporting growth at their own pace. Clients often describe me as passionate, caring, and infused with a sense of humor—qualities I believe help foster a safe and collaborative space for healing and change.
In our first session, we’ll take time to talk about your concerns and what brings you to therapy. Together, we’ll begin creating a personalized plan of care that is tailored to your unique needs and goals.
With 17 years of experience at the Department of Veterans Affairs, I have extensive training in a variety of evidence-based treatments and use measurement-based tools to help guide and strengthen the therapy process. These approaches allow me to tailor treatment to each individual while ensuring progress is tracked and supported.
My ideal clients are individuals and couples who want more from their intimate and emotional lives but feel unsure how to get there. They may be experiencing challenges with communication, desire differences, sexual functioning, or a loss of connection, and are ready to explore these concerns in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. I work well with couples who feel stuck in patterns of disconnection, conflict, or unmet needs and want to rebuild trust, improve communication, and deepen both emotional and physical intimacy. I also support individuals navigating changes in sexual desire, arousal, or satisfaction—often influenced by stress, life transitions, relationship dynamics, or shifts in identity and body (including experiences like perimenopause). My ideal client is open to curiosity and growth, even if the conversations feel vulnerable or unfamiliar. They don’t need to have the “right words”—just a willingness to show up honestly and engage in the process. Together, we work to increase understanding, reduce shame, and build a more connected, satisfying relationship with yourself and/or your partner.

This was our first session with Beth (marriage counseling), so it was mostly her asking questions about us & our situation. She's a great listener & I can tell she's got many years of experience as she asks questions that were meant to make us dig deep to search our hearts & minds for honest answers. She was kind, polite, caring, empathetic, on time & prepared. Overall, we are both looking forward to our next appointment with her and working with her to help our situation improve.

Beth has helped me reframe a lot of negative thoughts that I have had. She’s a great listener and always gives great solutions to my issues. I feel very comfortable sharing everything with her as she is non-judgmental and open-minded. In the couple months that she has been treating me, I have already seen a lot of growth and improvements in myself. I highly recommend Beth as a therapist!
