About me

I work best with high-achieving adults who are used to being the strong, capable person others rely on but feel exhausted from constantly pushing through. Many of my clients once felt active, motivated, and confident, but stress, caregiving, work, parenting, or major life transitions have left them overwhelmed and disconnected from themselves. You may struggle with anxiety, burnout, low energy, perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling guilty when you rest. Even when you are accomplishing a great deal, your inner critic may continue telling you that you are not doing enough. As someone who values movement, the outdoors, personal growth, and the connection between physical and emotional health, I understand the importance of reconnecting with the parts of yourself that stress has pushed aside. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, compassionate, and direct, with room for honesty and humor. Together, we will quiet self-criticism, establish healthier boundaries, and develop realistic strategies that fit your life. Therapy is not about pushing harder. It is about finding your ground, reconnecting with yourself, and moving toward your next summit with greater balance, confidence, and self-trust.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance to slow down, feel heard, and begin sharing your story in a safe, welcoming space. We’ll explore what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to change, and the strengths you already have. You don’t need to have it all figured out (therapy isn’t a pop quiz!). Together, we’ll create a path forward that feels supportive, practical, and meaningful.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring authenticity, empathy, humor, and a down-to-earth approach to every session. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation—not a stuffy lecture—where you can show up as yourself, feel understood, and still be gently challenged to grow. I balance compassion with accountability while helping you build practical tools, stronger boundaries, emotional resilience, and a better understanding of yourself. I also believe the mind and body are connected, so we’ll explore habits that support your overall well-being (because your brain and body are basically roommates—they need to work together!).

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who are ready to move from simply surviving to feeling more balanced, confident, and connected. They may be navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or the pressure of always “having it together” (even when their inner world feels like a messy junk drawer). I work with clients to open self-discovery, growth, and build practical tools to better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness to help clients slow down, notice their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, and respond more intentionally instead of reacting automatically. Depending on the client’s needs, we may practice grounding, breathing exercises, body awareness, guided visualization, or mindful movement. These practical skills can help reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, and build a stronger connection between the mind and body.

My partner and I have been working with Amanda for many months now, and on top of that, I have individual sessions with her. Amanda has shown tremendous compassion, insight, and clear guidance since the first day we met. Her ability to bring consistent and unwavering empathy is why we decided to move to weekly sessions. My partner and I have tremendously benefited in our time with Amanda and I have as well during my individual sessions. I highly recommend working with Amanda!
