New to Grow
I’m Linet Parra Casola, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Joyful Minds, LLC. I work with adults 18 and over, helping them navigate challenges like anxiety, ADHD, depression, and life transitions. My approach blends evidence-based treatment with compassion and mindfulness, so you feel supported, understood, and empowered to thrive.
In our first session, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel heard and supported. We’ll spend time talking about what brought you in, your current concerns, and your goals for treatment. I’ll also ask questions about your personal and medical history so I can better understand the whole picture of your health. Together, we’ll begin creating a personalized plan that fits your needs — whether that includes therapy, lifestyle strategies, or medication support. My approach is collaborative, so you’ll always have a voice in your care, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to listen deeply, connect with compassion, and create a safe space where clients feel genuinely understood. I combine evidence-based treatments with a personalized approach, tailoring each plan to meet your unique needs rather than taking a “one-size-fits-all” path. Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up with me and appreciate that I explain options clearly, involve them in decisions, and provide practical strategies they can use right away. I am also a true believer in the power of kindness, therapy, and overall wellbeing — because when we take care of ourselves, we develop into better versions of who we are. This not only transforms our own lives, but allows us to be kinder and more compassionate with those around us, helping make the world a better place, one step at a time.
I’m best positioned to support adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, and life transitions, especially those who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted but are still trying to “hold it all together.” I work well with high-functioning individuals, young professionals, and women in the perinatal/postpartum stage who want clarity, balance, and emotional stability. My clients are often motivated for change but need guidance, structure, and compassionate support to better understand themselves, improve daily functioning, and feel more in control of their lives.

I identify as
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In my practice, I integrate Mindfulness-Based Therapy as a way to help clients reconnect with the present moment and reduce the hold of anxious thoughts, stress, or low mood. Mindfulness techniques are evidence-based, with strong research support for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and stress-related symptoms. I have experience guiding clients through simple, practical mindfulness tools that can be woven into daily life. These include: Grounding exercises to reduce racing thoughts and bring calm during moments of anxiety. Breathwork and body scans to improve awareness of physical tension and promote relaxation. Mindful reflection practices to help individuals notice unhelpful thought patterns without judgment, allowing space for healthier coping strategies. Short daily mindfulness activities tailored to each person’s lifestyle, making it realistic and sustainable. In sessions, I often combine mindfulness with other therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to create a personalized, holistic plan. My goal is to empower clients with tools they can use outside of sessions — whether it’s calming their nervous system before a big meeting, improving focus at work or school, or managing overwhelming emotions in everyday life. At Joyful Minds, mindfulness is not about “clearing the mind” or striving for perfection. Instead, it’s about building compassion, awareness, and resilience — skills that support long-term mental well-being.
