I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida practicing since 2008. I received a master degree in Social Work from Florida State University. I look forward to helping clients to feel better and seek relief from their problems or concerns. I have experience in addictions, anxiety, LGBT and geriatrics. I work with adults, but especially seniors, as they meet the challenges of aging.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Every client/ therapist collaboration begins with an assessment. The assessment will be a getting to know you session. I prefer to talk and have the client reveal why they have decided that this is the time to seek help. Talking allows the client to be heard. What is the precipitating event that brought them to therapy. Any formal assessments will come at future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Listening is my strength. Also, I understand the importance of silence. Clients are not always ready to reveal their thoughts and feelings. I will establish a safe environment to allow my client the freedom to discuss as they are comfortable.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy offering support to elder/senior clients. Elders find that they are lonely and isolated from their family or community as result of loss or illness.
