I have been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for about five years, a family nurse practitioner for eight years and a registered nurse for 15 years. I have a bachelor's degree in nursing from University of Miami; a bachelor's in psychology from Florida State University and obtained my specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health from Florida State University. I have worked in multiple behavioral health settings including jails, State and Federal prisons, hospice care, public schools, crisis stabilization centers, and community outpatient and private practices.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, history of your mental health symptoms, history of medications and treatments, medical problems, psychosocial, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I will listen to you without judgment. You will feel heard, supported and validated. We will work together in developing a treatment plan designed specifically to address your symptoms.
I have been diagnosing and treating children, adolescents, and adults. My specialties include: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, intermittent explosive disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, and autism.
