Tammy Ewing is a board-certified psychiatric and family NP who has experience treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and psychosis. She understands that her role in her clinical practice is to help patients achieve growth and self-actualization; thus, she provides patient-centered, individualized care that is tailored to what matters most to them.
You can expect an in-depth assessment that will focus on both your mental health as well as medical ailments. We will then work together to develop a treatment plan that meets your needs.
I embrace a patient-centered care model and strive to be an advocate for those suffering from mental health conditions. My personal philosophy is to provide care that is tailored to meet the unique needs of individual clients, promote a caring and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment, and maintain a trusting provider and client relationship.
Through life experiences, I have come to see that no one is exempt from mental illness, including depression and anxiety. Our past trauma, which can include grief/loss, divorce, major illnesses, job loss, being a caregiver to a disabled family member, and emotional/physical/sexual abuse, all make us vulnerable to mental disease and, again, no one is EXEMPT from these major life events. It is my hope that I can make things a little easier by helping clients cope with these stressors as well as everyday life issues through brief psychotherapy and medication management.
