New to Grow
Whether you are navigating grief, loss, anxiety, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from yourself, I strive to provide a space where you can feel safe, seen, and genuinely heard. If you are grieving, I welcome the stories, memories, and love you carry for the people you have lost. During difficult seasons of life, I aim to be a supportive and honest presence as we work through your experiences together. I believe each person already holds the capacity for growth and change within themselves, and it is an honor to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with their strength, resilience, and sense of self. My hope is to help clients rediscover their light, embrace their uniqueness, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and connected.
Choosing therapy is a brave and honorable step towards growth, and I'm glad you're here. In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know you and the specific experiences that brought you to therapy. I'll explain how our process works and hold space for any questions you have. We'll begin identifying your goals, keeping in mind that these are never static - we can adjust and evolve them together as our work progresses.
The most rewarding feedback I receive is that I provide a safe, sincere space where clients feel they can truly be themselves. I am authentic and down-to-earth, showing up as a real person rather than a detached observer. My professional background is rooted in navigating complexities of grief and loss, whether that is the death of a loved one, the ending of a significant relationship, or the disorienting feelings of losing one's sense of self during a major life transition. My approach is collaborative and dynamic; if there are specific concepts or philosophies you are curious about, I am honored to research and explore them alongside you. I balance a direct, honest communication style with a compassionate heart, ensuring I can challenge you to grow while providing the support you need to feel secure. I am a firm believer in embodying the growth I encourage in others. Having personally navigated the loss of my mother in my early 20s, I understand the weight of profound grief and the dedication it takes to heal. I actively prioritize my own reflection and evolution, ensuring that I am not just offering guidance from a textbook, but walking the path of growth right alongside you.
I work best with clients who are going through a difficult season of life, whether that's grief, loss, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or simply not feeling like themselves anymore. I enjoy working with people who are open to growth and want a safe, supportive space to share their inner world honestly. My approach is warm, genuine, and collaborative, and I value being both compassionate and honest as we work together towards creating a life that feels more connected and meaningful.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I primary use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps clients identify thought patterns and core beliefs that impact emotions and daily life. While insight is important, I believe lasting growth also comes through behavioral change and practical application. My goal is to help clients build healthier patterns, coping skills, and greater self-awareness in a supportive and collaborative space.
Grief Therapy
I work with clients experiencing grief and loss and understand how deeply loss can impact every part of life. This work is especially meaningful to me, and I strive to create a compassionate space where clients can honor their loved ones while learning to navigate life alongside their grief. My goal is to help clients process their pain, find meaning in their continued journey, and reconnect with themselves over time.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate DBT-informed techniques, which build upon the foundation of CBT by focusing on emotional regulation, mindfulness, and distress tolerance. DBT skills can help clients better manage their nervous system responses so emotions feel less overwhelming and reactive in relationships with themselves and others. My goal is to help clients develop greater balance, self-awareness, and healthier ways of coping during difficult moments.
