I am an affirming and compassionate Middle-Eastern and Latina psychotherapist who focuses on helping individuals find balance in chaos. I thrive on establishing a space of safety, free from judgment, where my clients can speak freely, especially when it's the first time someone has taken the time to listen to them.

I am an affirming and compassionate Middle-Eastern and Latina psychotherapist who focuses on helping individuals find balance in chaos.

My approach to therapy is holistic, empowering, and client-centered, with a focus on connecting with culture and values. I provide individual therapy services that focus on guiding my clients to heal holistically, practicing gentle discipline, and improving their interpersonal skills, without sacrificing their cultural roots.

First session

My clients can expect me to meet them where they are in their mental health and wellness journey. I work to provide a safe space for psychoeducation on what therapy is and how it can be beneficial, tailored to the client's goals and struggles. Life itself can be overwhelming, and this would be the space for clients to pause the noise, prioritize their needs, and develop realistic, empowering goals and evidence-based techniques to work towards being the best version of themselves and navigate finding balance in the chaos.

Strengths

Some of my greatest strengths as a clinician are compassionate, empowering, and culturally-informed. I meet my clients where they are at and am a firm believer on providing further insight for client’s to have a deeper understanding of what they are learning throughout therapy. A huge part of growth is when learning how to be comfortable with the uncomfortable and how to navigate being in the grey area.

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults who are open to starting or enhancing their mental health and wellness journey. I enjoy working with clients who are open to healing holistically by learning how to balance life challenges, practicing gentle discipline, and improving their interpersonal skills – without sacrificing their cultural roots. With over 3 years of experience, I specialize in providing long-term therapy for children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with anxiety disorders, major depression, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, sleep issues, self-confidence, relationship difficulties, grief/loss, and cultural identity issues.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In treatment, ACT has been very effective with client's who struggle with ineffective thought patterns and have learned to increase their awareness to recognize those thoughts and improve their thought processing and self-confidence.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In treatment, CBT has been very effective with client's who struggle with depressive and anxiety symptoms, processing trauma, grief, and low self-esteem.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

In treatment, Culturally Sensitive Therapy has been very effective with client's who identify as a person of color, bilingual, an immigrant, or a child of an immigrant(s). This approach has been helpful to be more culturally-informed as a clinician and to establish compassionate support.

Play Therapy

In treatment, Play Therapy has been very effective with children and adolescents to build rapport, improve therapeutic alliance, implement techniques in a level of understanding for the client through activities they enjoy.

Psychoeducation

In treatment, I utilize psychoeducation consistently for clients to gain knowledge and have control in their treatment to better understand their struggles, diagnosis, progress throughout treatment.
