Hello! My name is Chudney, I am a dual licensed nurse practitioner. I am a certified family medicine and psychiatric mental health doctorate prepared nurse practitioner. I specialize in providing care for the whole being, working with patient's age 5-65 years of age. I believe that one's mental health is as important as one's physical health. It is my belief that mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being are sum of the whole being. I am a native of Tennessee. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Baptist College of Health Science in 2011. I then went to earn a Master's in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Tennessess State University in 2017. In December 2022, I graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with my Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health. Throughout my career, I have spent the vast majority of my clinical practice providing emergency, primary care, integrated, and mental health care to patients of all age groups. I possess a wealth of experience in treating a variety of psychiatric mental health disorders. Specializing in all depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, all childhood disorders, schizophrenia and all psychotic disorders.
During the initial psychiatric evaluation, this is the time we will establish a therapeutic alliance. The initial psychiatric evaluation is typically about 60 minutes. I will complete the psychiatric evaluation by gathering information of your history, administering some screening tools, establish a diagnosis, and based on information provided I will provide medication treatment. I will possibly order labs and/or diagnostic testing for you, to have collect and bring to your follow up appointment. If you do not already have a therapist, we will collaborate with finding you a therapist. Upon completion of the evaluation, we will work together with scheduling your next appointment.
I have 8 years experience as both a medical and psychiatric nurse practitioner treating all ages, this is my greatest strength. Being a dual provider, allows me to see and treat the patient as a whole. After years of experience with both medical and psychiatric diagnoses, I feel very confident in my practice.

I'm never sure about going to a provider. If you want someone that will tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear, this is the provider for you. Just be open so she can help you.
