Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jasmine, and I am a licensed counselor in both Illinois and Indiana. For the past seven years, I have had the privilege of sitting with people as they speak their truths, unravel their stories, and rediscover parts of themselves they once believed were lost. It is sacred work to witness someone’s healing, and I approach each person with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for their journey. Authenticity and emotional safety are the heartbeat of my work. I strive to create a space where clients feel not only welcomed, but deeply invited to show up as they are, without pretense or pressure. In my practice, I hold emotional safety as sacred. I believe that when people feel genuinely seen and accepted, they can begin to loosen the armor they have carried for so long. Within that safety, honesty becomes possible, vulnerability becomes less frightening, and meaningful change begins to take root. My hope is that each session feels like a steady, compassionate place where clients can breathe, reflect, and imagine new possibilities for their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our initial session, I will begin by asking you a series of questions designed to help me better understand who you are and what you hope to gain from the therapy process. I believe it is essential for my clients to feel well-informed at every stage of our journey. To that end, I will take the time to answer any questions you may have about what our work together will entail. After our initial session, we will use the information that was gathered during this session to develop a collaborative plan that will guide future sessions. Collaboration is a cornerstone of effective therapy and the commitment we both bring to each session directly influences the progress you make during our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my therapeutic approach unique is the way my life, my values, and my professional training weave together into a practice that is both grounded and deeply compassionate. I am a steadfast and persevering presence for my clients. My own journey has required grit, resilience, and the willingness to rise again and again, and those experiences shape the way I sit with others in their pain, their uncertainty, and their becoming. I bring a quiet strength into the room, one that instills hope even when hope feels distant. I challenge my clients, not to overwhelm or harm them, but to help them uncover the parts of themselves that have been waiting to be recognized.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I especially enjoy working with adult clients who are ready to show up with honesty, vulnerability, and a genuine desire for change. My ideal client is not just looking to survive their circumstances; they hold a quiet or bold hope that thriving is possible. They come to therapy willing to look inward, challenge old patterns, and engage in a collaborative process that supports growth, healing, and a more grounded, meaningful life. This client values a therapeutic relationship where they feel seen, supported, and empowered to evolve. They are open to doing the deeper work, exploring their story, embracing new perspectives, and building a life that feels authentic and aligned with who they truly want to be.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is the approach I most often lean into when supporting clients. Many of the people I work with struggle with distressing thoughts that naturally lead to emotional discomfort, and I truly value helping them understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all influence one another. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they explore these patterns, discover new perspectives, and develop healthier ways of thinking that can genuinely enhance their overall quality of life.

Relational

When beginning work with a new client, I take time to understand your story, your strengths, and the ways you’ve learned to navigate relationships throughout your life. In my experience, relational dynamics often surface in the therapy room, and many clients identify their relationships as a significant source of stress or emotional strain. Together, we explore how these experiences influence your emotions, boundaries, communication, and sense of self. My goal is to support you in developing healthier, more fulfilling connections by deepening your awareness, strengthening emotional insight, and practicing new ways of relating that promote emotionally healthy relationships.
