My name is Chris, I am a dual Licensed clinician (LCSW, LCAS) with a Masters in Social work from Louisiana State University. I have over 5 years experience working alongside clients facing struggles to include Alcohol, Opioid, and all forms of addiction, Depression, Anxiety, Social isolation, Traumatic loss, and more. I enjoy forming relationships with clients built on trust, direct communication, and mutual respect that allow us to take an honest look at life's deepest problems together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will take a few minutes to chat and get to know each other before beginning to look at what brought you to me, and the history behind it. This will allow us to build a personalized treatment plan fit for your wants and needs during our time.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is my ability to prioritize building a thriving therapeutic relationship with my clients. This allows for an environment where you feel heard when you open up, while also being comfortable having responsibility and accountability for your own actions and outcomes placed upon you.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment therapy is essential for moving through life's most difficult moments. I assist clients in learning to accept life for what it is and make the best of each given situation rather than allow worst case scenario's and self-defeating thoughts to lock them into unhealthy and unhelpful patterns.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is the building block of my Therapy practice. Clients participate in discussions and activities to increase awareness of thought patterns and the impact they have on life outcomes. Clients will then work to create patterns of thought that fit their own personal life mission, visions, and values and take the steps necessary to align themselves with those goals

Motivational Interviewing

Everyone needs some assistance motivating from time to time. During the early stages of treatment Motivational interviewing is used to break down large barriers into attainable goals and assist clients in setting themselves on the course toward change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have participated in a 4 day intensive workshop targeted at integrating DBT skills into practice. As necessary, I Utilize these skills with clients who need specific structure or benefit from the approach of dialectical thought.
