Hi there! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Kentucky with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over eight years and have spent the last five years providing therapy. I support clients navigating challenges such as substance use, grief and loss, ADHD, trauma, depression, and anxiety. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping you build the tools to live a more balanced and fulfilling life. I look forward to supporting you as you begin your journey toward your best self!
In our first session together, we’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing your needs, and exploring what you hope to accomplish in therapy. My goal is to create a welcoming space where every part of you is accepted, even the parts that feel uncomfortable or difficult to share. At times, therapy may feel challenging, but I’ll be there to provide a supportive, comforting, and judgment-free environment as we work toward your goals.
Having worked with children, adolescents, and adults with severe mental health needs in intensive outpatient settings, homes, and schools, I’ve gained valuable experience supporting clients through a variety of challenges. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, I tailor each session to the individual, listen with empathy, and allow clients to take an active role in guiding their goals and growth.
I love working with those who are ready to grow! I especially work to help my clients gain motivation, self esteem, and confidence as it affects any and all walks of life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT with a combo of CBT and ACT. As a therapist, I have worked with many who need concrete skills, which is what I love about DBT. DBT helps people learn to live in the moment, develop coping skills, learn to regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is the treatment method that I've always had as my foundation. CBT teaches people to have control over their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. With CBT, I love the "ah- ha" moments when the self- awareness is sparking!
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT is a newer treatment method that I have been implementing in my practice. Like DBT, ACT also stems from CBT. I have a deep appreciation for ACT as it challenges people to stop avoiding and denying those negative inner emotions, circumstances, and thoughts. It is an action oriented treatment that helps one commit to a healthier self and examine their values.

With this being the first session, I know there is much more to dive into. I liked the direct approach. I appreciate directness. I liked her observation as well and her wording. I appreciated it. I look forward to future sessions.
