Hi! I'm Julia a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and founder of Everyday Well-Being LLC. I previously worked in community mental health and am grateful for all those I worked with during that time. I appreciate the courage it takes for anyone who chooses and seeks support for a greater understanding and awareness of themselves and others in therapy. It takes a lot and is important to acknowledge that, as well as to stay kind and patient with yourself and the journey. As a more updated version of the cliché goes, it takes a community to raise a child. And as that child becomes an adolescent then an adult, any person throughout any stage of life is still worthy and deserving of having support from that community. It could be instrumental to have a counselor as part of that community, to have a provider of support and guidance, through not just moments of struggle and difficulty in life but also to share and savor moments of joy and awe, including the everyday moments that could lead to further growth. I believe therapy is to be a safe, open, nonjudgmental space to explore all of that. A space for you to be seen, heard, and understood with kindness, cultural sensitivity, curiosity, and compassion. To get you to a place where you are able to fully realize you are more than your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. That although those things might help shape you, they do not define who you are nor meant to limit you though they and societal pressures might. Which is not to take away from or minimize the very real difficulties, emotional distress, suffering, and hardship faced. However, in finding your balance when it comes to various aspects of health (physical, mental, emotional, etc) to find what works for you in life, in healthy and appropriate ways, you'll be better equipped and able to highlight more of your resilience and true self to face such challenges, hopefully, a bit less encumbered (than before) and live life and grow your potential to the fullest. I look forward to supporting you in your journey working through various life issues including possibly to the point where everyday well-being is intentional without shame and with overall health and quality of life improved. Please message to schedule a free 15min phone consultation.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first several sessions clients can expect to establish rapport and building of a safe space. After the first several sessions clients can expect to identify and build upon goals as well as leave each session with a new question or some insight, or helpful coping skills, and hopefully leave feeling empowered.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I draw from various treatment modalities (mostly humanistic and integrative, including trauma informed, person-centered, strengths-based, mindfulness-based) to address more holistic, everyday well-being as different aspects in life tend to not occur in a vacuum and can affect one another systemically as mind-body are very much connected and interdependent. I also utilize CBT, DBT, and solutions-focused tools in sessions

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the years I’ve worked with many experiencing anxiety and depression related symptoms as well as the overall impact stress has on physical and mental health.
