Hello, I'm a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree from Barry University, bringing extensive experience and a deep commitment to enhancing mental health and resilience within diverse communities. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to empowering individuals, couples, and families to navigate life's challenges with empathy and collaborative problem-solving approaches. My journey in the field of social work has been shaped by a strong belief in the transformative power of therapy and support. I have worked diligently to provide compassionate care and evidence-based interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Whether addressing issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship dynamics, grief, or life transitions, my practice is grounded in fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore, heal, and grow. My approach is deeply rooted in client-centered therapy, where I prioritize building a trusting therapeutic relationship and honoring each individual's journey towards healing and personal development. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, trauma-informed therapy, and family systems approaches, to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals effectively. I am passionate about helping clients uncover their strengths, develop coping strategies, and cultivate resilience to thrive in their lives. My collaborative and empathetic style allows me to work alongside clients as they navigate complex emotions, interpersonal challenges, and significant life transitions. Whether guiding individuals through moments of crisis or empowering couples and families to rebuild connections, I am dedicated to facilitating positive change and fostering lasting well-being. If you or someone you know is seeking compassionate and professional support to address issues related to mental health, relationships, grief, or life adjustments, I am here to provide personalized care and guidance. Together, we can embark on a journey towards healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with various groups and organizations from working as Intervention In-Home Specialist reunifying families, to working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for a large county hospital, where I had the privilege to work in various departments from Behavioral Health, Truma, and the ER.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Understands and considers the pervasive nature of trauma and promotes environments of healing and recovery rather than practices and services that may inadvertently re-traumatize.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.

Psychodynamic

Focuses on unconscious processes as they are manifested in the client's present behavior. The goals of psychodynamic therapy are client self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior. In its brief form, a psychodynamic approach enables the client to examine unresolved conflicts and symptoms that arise from past dysfunctional relationships and manifest themselves in the need and desire to abuse substances.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused practice concentrates on helping people move towards the future that they want and to learn what can be done differently by using their existing skills, strategies and ideas – rather than focusing on the problem.

Motivational Interviewing

A collaborative, goal-oriented style of communication with particular attention to the language of change. It is designed to strengthen personal motivation for and commitment to a specific goal by eliciting and exploring the person’s own reasons for change within an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion
