New to Grow
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to heal and grow. Growing up in a conservative community in South America, I witnessed how stigma often prevents people from seeking help. That experience inspired my commitment to creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I work collaboratively with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and tailored to your unique needs, integrating evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR-informed techniques to help you process difficult experiences, build resilience, and create lasting change.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and that's okay. During our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and discuss your goals, concerns, and what you hope to achieve. I'll answer any questions you have and explain how I work so you know what to expect. Together, we'll create a plan that feels right for you. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
My greatest strength is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with clients from all walks of life. Growing up in South America gave me a deep appreciation for how culture, family, and life experiences shape our perspectives, while reinforcing the importance of providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care. I tailor therapy to each individual, combining empathy with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR-informed techniques. My goal is to help you feel understood, develop practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I enjoy working with adults from all backgrounds who are looking for a therapist who is compassionate, collaborative, and authentic. My clients are often navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship concerns, or significant life changes. Some come to therapy with clear goals, while others simply know they want things to feel different. Wherever you are in your journey, we'll work together to build insight, develop practical skills, and create lasting, meaningful change.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT in a practical and supportive way. I help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and how sometimes the way we think about a situation can make anxiety, sadness, stress, or self-doubt feel even stronger. In session, we work together to notice these patterns without judgment. I help clients slow down, understand what is happening internally, and find healthier and more balanced ways to respond. This can include working on negative self-talk, coping skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and practicing small changes that can make daily life feel more manageable. My goal is to help clients feel more aware, more grounded, and more confident in handling difficult situations.
Gestalt
I use Gestalt therapy in a warm and reflective way. I help clients slow down and become more aware of what they are feeling, thinking, and experiencing in the present moment. Many times, people are carrying emotions, patterns, or unfinished experiences that affect how they see themselves, relate to others, or respond to stress. In session, we explore what is happening for the client right now, not with judgment, but with curiosity and compassion. I may help clients notice their emotions, physical reactions, needs, boundaries, and relationship patterns. This can help them better understand themselves and make choices that feel more honest, healthy, and aligned with who they are. My goal is to help clients feel more connected to themselves, more aware of their needs, and more empowered to respond to life in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.
EMDR
I use a trauma-informed approach to help clients heal from painful or overwhelming experiences. I am trained in EMDR-informed techniques and may use grounding, resourcing, and stabilization skills to help clients feel safer, more present, and more emotionally regulated. My goal is to support clients at their own pace, while helping them feel more grounded and connected to themselves.
Narrative
I use narrative therapy to help clients separate themselves from the problems they are facing. Instead of viewing anxiety, depression, trauma, or other challenges as part of who they are, we explore how these experiences have affected their lives and the stories they have come to believe about themselves. Together, we identify personal strengths, values, and moments when the problem had less control. This process can help clients develop a more balanced and hopeful understanding of themselves and create new ways of moving forward.
